Foreign Operations:
Mr. Schmedlen has operated in the capacity of security consultant/investigator in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Australia & the South Pacific and throughout Europe and the Mediterranean.
Security Surveys & Consulting:
Mr. Schmedlen has conducted security surveys/risk analyses for a variety of businesses over the years, both in the United States and abroad. An attachment to his curriculum vitae lists approximately 100 of these projects, broken down by industry

Litigation Experience:
Mr. Schmedlen has been employed as an expert witness in approximately twenty-five cases involving premises liability, security negligence and similar matters. As a real world practitioner who makes his living in the security field--as opposed to
an academic theorist or law enforcement officer--Mr. Schmedlen's testimony is exceptionally credible. An attachment to his C. V. lists and recaps his litigation experience.
Security-Related Education:
Like most security practitioners of his age, Mr. Schmedlen has no degree in security management as such curriculums and courses of study were not offered when he was of college age. However, in addition to a full-time formal half-year
security-investigation management course completed while employed by a large international security and investigation firm, Mr. Schmedlen has several hundred hours of specific security industry training. Formal courses taken have ranged from the
Protection of Assets Course, sponsored by the American Society for Industrial Security to the Carnahan Security Conference held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. While most of this ongoing education was obtained in North
America, much of it was obtained abroad. As previously noted, Mr. Schmedlen has lectured to college classes. For two terms, he was on the teaching faculty of a community college, but during this period, there were not enough interested students to
form a security management class.
Cost Effective Nationwide Services:
Reasonable travel time caps are applied on out of state work. Thus, Mr. Schmedlen's participation on litigation matters in Florida or Arizona would cost little more than that of a local, but lesser qualified expert.
Ancillary Services Available:
In the interest of economy, we generally assign an investigator to obtain relevant statistical records, conduct other research and perform investigation functions on expert witness cases.
