Investigation and Surveillance Service Rates:
Our standard rate for general
investigation and surveillance work is $95 per hour, but in some
cases this can vary slightly depending on the type of assignment,
the longevity, ongoing contracts or high volume of work and
discounts applied for rapid payment of invoices Seasonal
reductions can also apply. Local travel and reporting time is
billed at the same rate as operational time.
On much of our fraud related work, teams of two investigators are
required and the combined rate is reduced in the range of 10% to
20%.
On all out of state and foreign work, substantially reduced travel
time caps apply. Additionally, we frequently utilize
mileage-free rental autos for round trip travel resulting in
significant savings to the client as compared to the cost of today's
bizarre airfares--and with airline delays so common from Detroit, we
often arrive at our destination sooner.
On many cases, we have voluntarily capped weekly time charges on
services--particularly on slow moving gray market cases and sting
operations. On some extended cases, daily or weekly flat rates
can be negotiated. When possible, travel time on routine work
is prorated with other cases in the area.
On in plant undercover operations, the investigator retains his or
her on the job earnings and we additionally bill the time worked at
$25 - $35 per hour, depending on the investigator's on the job
earnings. This rate is constant, with no overtime
premiums. In most cases, hours billed are the same as hours
worked. We do not charge for reporting time, unpaid lunch
breaks, or for reasonable off the job periods the investigator may
spend socializing with employees. Discounts may apply on cases
involving more than one operative.
On series of testing operations and service inspections, we often
develop a flat rate charge to apply to each test or
inspection. These rates usually work out to be below the
hourly rates, when there is some flexibility as to when the work can
be performed. Reduced rate annual contracts are also
available. On exceptionally comprehensive service inspections,
such as those conducted at luxury hotels or resorts, substantial
savings can be realized when we can schedule these operations at our
convenience.
Additionally savings can be had on testing operations when products
purchased on basic honesty tests do not have to be returned.
(Often the time involved with returning these items exceeds the
value of the items.)
Investigative Rate Variances:
In most cases these rates
would apply for all domestic and foreign operations. However,
there can be situations which would warrant slight increases in
foreign lands. These infrequent situations would usually have
more to do with unusual foreign tax schemes than higher risk
considerations.
