The American Society for Industrial Security, International is the world's largest professional security management organization.  It maintains professional industry-specific standing committees which range from retail loss control and museum security to security at nuclear facilities and counter terrorism.

Security management training available through this organization is often considered to be the best in the world and includes the Protection of Assets Courses.  Dozens of seminars cover such general topics as physical security, security guard operations, emergency planning and protection of proprietary information.  Additionally highly specialized workshops and courses cover subjects ranging from workplace violence to Internet firewalls and utility security management.

In addition to the highly acclaimed monthly magazine, Security Management, hundreds of publications are available through this association.

This association is somewhat geared more toward the needs of proprietary security management than independent security consultants and private investigative agencies.
