The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is an international association concerned primarily with investigation and audit activities as they relate to financial fraud matters.

It was founded to bridge the gap that previously existed between internal audit departments and security and investigation departments.  The focus is on education pertaining to accounting, audit and the detection and investigation of white collar crime.

Although this is an international association, a high percentage of the membership is made up of federal investigators charged with combating fraud in the United States government.

This organization is the sponsor of the Certified Fraud Examiner Program.  Loss Prevention Concepts, Ltd. has two CFEs on staff.
